For the last two weeks Mrs Cameron set us a task with three other people  to make a presentation about our inquiry and pretend to be back in the year that you were given but how do you tell people about your holiday which is changes in communication .The people in my group were Abigail Ruby and Mavi this is our presentation.

Optimist yachts

For the past few days we have been making paper optimist yachts and it was soooooo
frustratingly frustrating any way this is my one

Some of the parts of the yachts are the rudder, the mast the main sheet, the sail the boom and  the sprit.

My Art

For the last couple of weeks we have been working on 1 point prospective art. I was very fun but also frustrating. First we had to draw a big * then we drew the path then the trees then the buildings then the sun then all the extras like the clouds, signs gulls etc. after then we had to draw over it with pilot pen then we water painted them. This is my art.

Prospero was furious. “You ungrateful monster,” shouted Prospero!!!

“FINE!!!,” said Caliban rolling his eyes.

“While you're at it get me my cloak!”

“NOOOOOOOOOOO!!! this is. MY island. MY food. MY trees. MY sea!”

“How dare you insult me like that!” Said Prospero shocked.

Caliban suddenly got frightened “S-s-s-sorry m-m-m-master” Said Caliban shakily .

Inquiry

For the past few moths we have been learning about the rivers and about how they get polluted and what causes pollution. We found out that storm water drains, cows in rivers and algae are the main pollution sources. Then we had to choose 1 topic out of  algae, diary farming or storm water drains. I chose algae. Then we had to ask professionals lots of questions about our topic. Then we had to make a presentation about our topic. 

Room 2's trip to the Tukituki and the karamu stream

On Tuesday room 2 went to the Karamu stream and the Tukituki to test the water and what lives in the water and the algae. We also tested the temperature and the PH levels. We looked for macroinvertebrates, we picked up the rubbish and tested the water speed. After we did that we rated the river/stream excellent good fair or poor. Then we went through a muddy bit of river and Max lost his gumboot.

Lost

I was at the back of the line when I heard a voice. I followed it then I fell down a trap and hit my head. I got knocked out then everything went blank… when I awoke I was tied to a stick  over  a roaring fire with little masked  people dancing around  me.

They were trying to cook me!!! I was in shock.

They had my backpack, I thought I would die like this. What a horrible way to die. Suddenly they started scattering around  and the fire went out the rope sliced in half I fell on the burning coals I got off them as fast as I could. I screamed.

I got up and ran to a river and jumped in. It stung so much I wanted to get out but I pushed myself to stay. I was lucky I got of the coals so fast. Then I wondered what made the people go away and what made the fire go out and the rope cut. Oh well. I guess I’ll never find out who or what did it. I ran back to where my bag was then I  got it. I  tried to find out where I was by looking around me…” I’m lost” I said to myself.” Well I better get moving” I started walking. Suddenly I  tripped over a root and stumbled to the ground and rolled into a pit of quicksand. I started sinking faster and faster then a rope fell down I started climbing it. When I got up there was someone waiting for me he looked like robin hood without the bow. “Follow me” he said with a deep voice.

Says we should use 1080 because it is cheap and it keeps control of the deer that eat our native plants and it kills pests and it biodegrades.

Say we should not use 1080 because it is killing deer and it destroys  New Zealand's saying clean and green 100% pure

Flax is a native New Zealand  plant. It is good for making lots of stuff like string .And string is good for tons of stuff like making  and houses and traps

Take a trip inside my mind, a place where everything is blue with green dots and you can do whatever you want and there are moon munchers and Tinbys riding motorbikes

At times my dad goes out to sea for a couple of weeks for his work.

I have a tablet that can do heaps of cool stuff.

I dream of me and family having a lot of animals at my dads farm (like pigs and cows and chickens and sheep and sheepdogs.)

I wonder if I will ever go to Antarctica.

My hope is to  have a beard like my Dad's beard

I can often annoy my brothers by mimicking them.

When no one is watching I pour water on my big brothers bed
